End of 2020 we decided we wanted to do something new (to us) to get together more, other than our Zoom meetings - that's how the idea of a quilt along was born. We officially started on Valentine's day 2021.
150 individuals signed up for the newsletter. Not all of them ended up making an Aviatrix, but may have enjoyed reading along or using the tips and tricks provided in the weekly emails.
74 fellow quilters gathered in our private Facebook group and had quite some fun there, chatting about gin and life in common, sharing pictures, cheering each other up. We were an international bunch: all over Michigan, but also: New Mexico, Florida, Tennessee, Spain, New Zealand, Germany, England, Ireland... it was like having friends over to the GAAQG from all these far away places.

Some even joined our Zoom-quilt day meeting - so we could hear such a cute accent :o)

The hashtag #gaaqgqal is still in use, you can find many pictures that we posted during the making.
